His newest book, The Golden Swift, a novel for children, was published in May 2022. It’s a sequel to The Silver Arrow, which was a New York Times bestseller and was on the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, People magazine, Apple and Amazon best-of-the-year lists. Lev wrote a movie called The Map of Tiny Perfect Things that was released on Amazon Prime and was a finalist for the Critic’s Choice awards.
He was the book critic at Time magazine for fifteen years, from 2002 through 2016, and did a lot of technology coverage there too. He served on the board of directors of the National Book Critics Circle, Electric Literature, and the Harvard Advocate.
