Hailing from New Zealand, Jacqueline Joe won critical acclaim for her breakout performance as the pregnant 12-year-old, Tui Mitcham, in Jane Campion’s Top of the Lake. She then went on to play the lead in the award winning short film Cradle – named best short at the 2016 New Zealand Show Me Shorts Festival. At age 16, she starred alongside Willow Shields in the 2017 feature film The Wonder. She then reprised her role of Tui Mitcham for the second season of Top of the Lake.
Since 2020, Jacqueline has appeared in 3 seasons of the Libertine Pictures tv-drama Mystic, in which she plays Caroline Burford. She also appeared as Sam in the Kiwi lockdown thriller INSiDE, and as Eade in the sci-fi anthology film Apocalypse: End of Everything.
Most recently, Jacqueline played the pivotal role of Fern across 3 seasons of Power Rangers (Dino Fury Seasons 1 & 2 and Cosmic Fury). Fern is a groundbreaking character in Power Rangers as she becomes part of the first on screen LGBTQIA+ relationship in the 30 year running TV series. She later becomes the first official Orange Ranger in the show’s history!
When not acting, Jacqueline enjoys parkour and playing rugby league!
