Alyssa (Alyssa’s Cosplays) is an energetic and versatile cosplayer from Sydney, Australia who has been cosplaying and since 2018. For a number of years prior, Alyssa attended conventions such as Supanova and was in absolute awe of all the incredible cosplayers. Alyssa would always admire and take photos with the cosplayers, she knew this was something she wanted to do someday. Alyssa truly feels like her dreams have come true that she has now been selected to be a cosplay guest this year at Sydnova!

Alyssa cosplays a very extensive list of different cosplays. These include cosplays from franchises such as Disney, Barbie, Marvel, DC, Nintendo, Tomb Raider and Sailor Moon. Within Alyssa’s vast collection of cosplays, she really does have something to appeal to everyone. Alyssa’s absolute favourite part of cosplaying is doing photoshoots. Alyssa is highly experienced in cosplay photoshoots and has participated an extensive variety of them with a range of photographers. Her eye for attention to detail, wigs, makeup and character accuracy is what she believes to be one of her greatest strengths as a cosplayer. As Alyssa loves cosplaying princesses so much, in 2020 she started her very own princess party company! The business quickly grew to become a big success, as the business has been able to service many birthday parties and events, and even video calls during the lockdowns. The business now has five employees that help make even more children’s dreams come true. One of the highlights of the business has been raising thousands of dollars for one of our local EB Games stores in support of Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Alyssa has really been enjoying the social media side of cosplay and content creating. Alyssa posts video and photo content on Instagram and TikTok. Over the course of the five years, Alyssa that has spent in the cosplay community, she has slowly been building her following and has been lucky enough to have a steady, loyal following. However, in 2022, this really took off when one of Alyssa’s Instagram reels went viral and hit over 10 million views, growing her followers immensely! Alyssa has been enjoying all of the different opportunities that has arisen from working in the social media scene as a cosplayer. She has been able to attend many fun events, movie premiers and awards nights, as well as creating social media content to promote a variety of companies and brands. Alyssa’s biggest highlight so far as a cosplayer is being chosen by Marvel to be a featured cosplayer at the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania event where she got to walk the red carpet and see Paul Rudd up close.
