Julie Ditrich is a comic book writer, with credits in the USA and Australia and sales of over 270,000 comics to her name, who works predominantly in the fantasy and action-adventure genres. Julie has a BA in Professional Writing (University of Canberra) where she majored in freelance writing and scriptwriting.
She is the first Australian female comic book writer to work on The Phantom (Frew Publications) with the release of The Adventure of the Dragon’s Leg in 2021, as well as The Return of the Golden Circle, which will be published in 2022. Julie was also a co-writer on ElfQuest: WaveDancers (Warp Graphics) and the Dart mini-series (Image Comics) in the USA.
Julie recently introduced a new superhero character “Djiniri” in the SuperAustralians graphic novel (Black House Comics / IFWG Publishing). Julie’s prose writing credits include short stories in Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Was Not (IFWG Publishing) and Sherlock Holmes of Baking Street (Belanger Books), as well as a horror story in Cthulhu Deep Down Under Volume 3 (IFWG Publishing) and the upcoming Dracula Unfanged (IFWG Publishing).
Julie is currently writing her third Phantom story, as well as several children’s graphic novels.
