With just thirty days to go until Supanova Comic Con & Gaming’s milestone 100th event, Australia’s premier pop culture convention has shown no signs of slowing down, announcing new and returning Supa-Stars for our penultimate stop in Adelaide (November 2-3) and centennial celebrations in Brisbane (November 8-10)!
Alongside previously announced Supa-Star Anthony Daniels comes another heavyweight headliner from a galaxy far, far away… The one and only Temuera Morrison will appear exclusively in Brisbane for Supanova #100! One of New Zealand’s foremost performers, Morrison rose to fame in the critically acclaimed Once Were Warriors, before first donning his iconic Mandalorian armour in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, paving the way to his starring role in The Book of Boba Fett.
In case you needed ‘100’ more reasons to join in the festivities this November, also set to return to both cities is The 100’s Bob Morley, best known for his portrayal of Bellamy Blake in the CW’s cult hit. Most recently, Morley scored a Silver Logie nomination for In Limbo starring opposite Supa-Star alum Ryan Corr.
Whether you’re a fan of his film and TV work or just love live music, Brisbane fans won’t want to miss a ticketed live performance by James Marsters! No Supanova admission is required, only the concert ticket; however, you will need an entry pass to collect the complimentary enamel pin available to concert-goers at the Supanova Merchandise Store.
Joining Literary Legends Matthew Reilly and Luke Arnold, book lovers in both cities can meet the likes of Alan Baxter, scribe of Blood Covenant, and first-time Supa-Star C.A. Wright, author of Skysong, a beautiful, lyrical retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Nightingale.
Lyndall Clipstone will bring her Unholy Terrors exclusively to Adelaide, while T.R. Napper (The Escher Man), New Dawn Publishing’s Maria Linwood, Madeline Te Whiu, and Megan White; and IFWG Publishing’s Christopher Sequeira, Gerry Huntman, Greg Chapman, and Jeffrey E. Doherty will attend only in Brisbane.
Comic collectors will be able to catch horror artist Austen Mengler in both cities, with Adelaide exclusives including Dana King (Billie Bones and the Apocalypses with Bob the Dog), Jake Bartok (Star Wars: Padawan’s Pride), and Owen Heitmann (Sun, Sand & Self-Doubt). Brisbane fans won’t want to miss Lauren Marshall (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Shaun Keenan (COMICS2MOVIES), interdisciplinary maker Morrigan Moore, as well as local legends Adam and Wayne Nichols.
