The countdown to Supanova #100 is on, as Supanova Comic Con & Gaming announces the latest stars to sign on for the convention’s 95th outing in Melbourne (6-7 April 2023) and 96th on the Gold Coast (13-14 April 2023).
Headlining the ‘bountiful’ announcements is returning Star Wars Supa-Star Temuera Morrison, a performer whose career milestones come from opposite ends of the galaxy, from the cult classic Once Were Warriors to his iconic role as Boba Fett.
The Arrowverse’s Emily Bett Rickards will make her debut appearance with the convention, best known for playing Team Queen’s guy-in-the-chair Felicity Smoak in The CW’s hit superhero franchise. Also set to attend is first-time Supa-Star Antonio Sabato Jr. who has featured in popular series Melrose Place, General Hospital and Charmed.
Returning alongside the Supanova newcomers are fan-favourites Neil Fanning (Scooby-Doo), Barry Pearl (Grease), Steve Bisley (Mad Max), John Jarratt (Wolf Creek) and his The Possessed co-star Lincoln Lewis (Home & Away).
Unfortunately, unexpected scheduling issues have meant that Adventure Time’s Jeremy Shada has needed to postpone his visit to the convention; however, in his stead, Supanova is thrilled to welcome back voice-acting royalty, Jennifer Hale, known for her iconic VO work in Mass Effect, Metal Gear Solid, and more.
Meanwhile, coming exclusively to Melbourne is Stephen Hunter a.k.a. Bombur the Dwarf from The Hobbit film series, alongside first-time Supa-Star Jacqueline Joe, the Orange Ranger from Power Rangers Cosmic Fury.
Appearing only on the Gold Coast is Matt Doran, known affectionately as Elan Sleazebaggano in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, as well as actor, author and worldbuilder Scott Brewer, mastermind behind the Garrison7 universe.
Comic fans won’t want to miss international artist Ken Steacy, who’s been illustrating since 1977 on titles such as Star Wars and Astro Boy. Joining him is Ben Stenbeck, long-time collaborator of Hellboy creator Mike Mignola, who appears hot on the heels of his latest miniseries, Our Bones Dust, published by Image Comics.
Admission tickets are on sale now via Moshtix, with Autographs and Photo-Ops to follow closer to the April events. For all the latest news and Supa-Star entertainment, stay tuned to Supanova’s website and social media channels.
