The fandom festivities continue this holiday season, as Supanova Comic-Con & Gaming announces even more superb Supa-Stars to stuff your stockings with, just in time for Christmas!
We’ve met many clones in our time, but never one like her. Leading the second batch of celebrity guests slated for Melbourne (29-30 March 2025) and the Gold Coast (12-13 April 2025) is Michelle Ang a.k.a. Omega in Star Wars: The Bad Batch!
Entering the blockbuster franchise via the Disney+ animated hit, Ang is otherwise known for her Primetime Emmy Award-nominated performance as Alex in Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462, and her 88-episode run on Neighbours, which landed her a Logie nomination.
March will find The Walking Dead survivors in no short supply, with Michael Cudlitz set to join Ang for the weekend, only in Melbourne. Rising to pop culture prominence as Abraham Ford in the AMC sensation, Cudlitz most recently squared off against previously announced Supa-Star Tyler Hoechlin as the legendary villain Lex Luthor in Superman & Lois.
Meanwhile, our next reveal takes the term “body of work” to a whole new level, as the convention welcomes acclaimed actor, contortionist, and mime Doug Jones exclusively to the Gold Coast in April!
A longtime collaborator of visionary director Guillermo Del Toro, Jones made literal waves as the Amphibian Man in the Oscar-winning The Shape of Water, and as Abe Sapien in Hellboy and Hellboy II: The Golden Army. Also featuring as both the Faun and Pale Man in Pan’s Labyrinth, Supa-Fans will perhaps know him best as Admiral Saru from Star Trek: Discovery.
These first-time Supa-Stars join a plethora of pop culture pros already signed on for our 2025 tour of Melbourne and the Gold Coast. The CW’s aforementioned Man of Steel leads the film and TV charge alongside Lloyd Owen (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), prolific puppeteer Mike Quinn (Star Wars, The Dark Crystal), and Melbourne-exclusive Matt Doran (Star Wars, The Matrix).
Michelle Ang will be in good company among fellow voice actors Trina Nishimura (Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia) and Sarah Natochenny (Pokémon, Tokyo Revengers), appearing in both cities. Melbourne fans can look forward to meeting Bryce Papenbrook (Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer) as well as Chainsaw Man’s Ryan Colt Levy, with Miraculous’ titular Ladybug, Cristina Vee, rounding out one “helluva” line-up for the Gold Coast.
Finally, comic collectors will have the chance to catch international Supa-Star Whilce Portacio, making the trip out for the first time since 2017. The creator of X-Men’s Bishop will be joined by renowned concept and cover artist Artgerm in Melbourne; and Mico Suayan, recently of Joker/Harley: Criminal Sanity fame, on the Gold Coast, with even more comic creators still to be announced.
Tickets to Melbnova and Goldnova are expected to go on sale in early 2025, with Autographs and Photo-Ops to follow closer to the events. For all the latest news and information, follow the official @SupanovaExpo social media channels, and visit our website.
