After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, one of the biggest events in the international pop culture calendar, San Diego Comic-Con, returned this past weekend. Jam-packed with an absolutely massive line-up of fandom news and special reveals, the four-day event provided eager fans with updates about everything from the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to advanced peeks at Amazon’s imminent return to Middle-earth.

Interview With The Vampire
The series reboot of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire got itself a brand new trailer this past weekend, with the series promising a slightly different origin for Jacob Anderson’s (Game of Thrones) Louis.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power
There’s not too much longer to wait until Amazon releases its Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series in early September, and they released a brand new trailer during their panel. Be sure to wait until the very end for a special appearance by the Balrog!
House of the Dragon
HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon dropped a new trailer ahead of their SDCC panel. The series is set to premiere on August 21.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
Bringing the classic RPG to life in a brand new live-action adaptation, Paramount Pictures rolled a Nat 20 with the debut trailer for its upcoming fantasy adventure starring Chris Pine.
John Wick 4
Keanu Reeves is back as everyone’s favourite assassin in an all new teaser for John Wick 4, due for release on March 24 next year.
The Sandman
Neil Gaiman’s epic comic series finally comes to life on Netflix next month, and The Sandman’s Hall H panel revealed the following trailer. Is it everything you Dreamed of?
Shazam! Fury of the Gods
Warner Bros. released a new trailer for Shazam! Fury of the Gods, the sequel to 2019’s Shazam starring Zachary Levi. The new trailer shows Billy struggling with his newfound role of being a superhero.
Black Adam
Before Shazam! Fury of the Gods gets released, next up on DC’s film slate is Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam. Warner Bros. also released a new teaser during its panel.
National Treasure: Edge of History
Disney+ revealed a brief teaser for their National Treasure: Edge of History series, which is a spinoff from the Nicolas Cage films.
I Am Groot
He’s a hero of few words, but everyone’s favourite sapling is back in a series of five animated shorts due to hit Disney+ in August. Marvel Studios revealed a first-look teaser for the series.
Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever
Ever since the tragic passing of star Chadwick Boseman, fans have been wondering how Marvel would proceed with the sequel to 2018’s Black Panther. Now a new teaser hints at what is in store for the nation of Wakanda. It was also revealed that Wakanda Forever would officially close out the MCU’s Phase 4 slate of films.
She-Hulk: Attorney At Law
Marvel also released a new trailer for their upcoming She-Hulk series. Be sure to stick around for a hint of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in a brand-new suit toward the end!
MCU Phase 5 & 6
With the surprising announcement that Wakanda Forever will close out the MCU’s Phase 4, the full line-up for Phase 5 was released along with details about the start of Phase 6. The current saga also got its own official title, The Multiverse Saga.

Phase 5 will kick off next year with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and will move on to include the new Blade reboot and the Daredevil: Born Again series revival.

Captain America 4 also got itself a new title, Captain America: New World Order.

The Thunderbolts are also set to get their own movie team up in July 2024 which will wrap up Phase 5.

The Fantastic Four will officially kick off Phase 6 in November 2024.
