Star Wars
The Star Wars fandom rejoiced, this month, as it was revealed that The Clone Wars mastermind Dave Filoni was officially announced as Lucasfilm’s Executive Creative Officer, but it turns out that his job promotion was put in place last year, it was just that they only finally got around to updating the website to reflect his new role.
Disney has seemingly done the impossible and finally managed to make a fully retractable and illuminated lightsaber as part of its Galactic Starcruiser immersive hotel experience. Check it out below:
Indiana Jones
Rumours regarding the details of Mads Mikkelsen’s character in the upcoming fifth instalment of the Indiana Jones franchise have begun to circulate. According to reports, Mikkelsen will be playing a former Nazi scientist who has been enlisted by NASA to work on the Apollo moon landing mission.
The Addams Family
Netflix has found its new Wednesday Addams for its upcoming live-action series in the form of You’s Jenna Ortega. The new series, dubbed Wednesday, is set to be helmed by legendary director Tim Burton in his first television series.

Highlander
There can be only one! And it looks as though that one may be The Witcher’s Henry Cavill. New reports state that Lionsgate studios are circling the actor to be the lead in their new Highlander reboot being helmed by John Wick’s Chad Stahelski.
Enola Holmes

Marvel
Marvel kicked off the month with a massive look at its Phase 4 line-up, including revealing the titles for Black Panther 2, now called Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Captain Marvel 2, now titled The Marvels. Check out their Phase 4 celebration reel below:
The upcoming Loki series which is due to drop on June 9 has ramped up its promotional campaign following the conclusion of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The latest teaser offers a glimpse of Loki’s arrival at the Time Variance Authority.
Ant-Man and the Wasp’s Evangeline Lilly caused a stir when she shared a photo of her Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania script to Instagram, but it was the act of her tagging actor Corey Stoll who played Darren Cross a.k.a. Yellow Jacket in the first Ant-Man film that really raised eyebrows. Since then, the post has been deleted, but now fans are already speculating that Cross is likely to return in the upcoming threequel.
DC
In a massive month for DC Animation, fans first learnt that Bruce Timm, creator of Batman: The Animated Series, would be teaming up with J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves, leading a new animated series, Batman: Caped Crusader for HBO Max.
A new trailer for the upcoming second part of Batman: The Long Halloween, featuring Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles as the voice of Bruce Wayne, has hit the web. Part one is set to debut on June 22, and part two is scheduled for a July 27 release.
DC Animation has also revealed that its next animated outing is an adaptation of the Injustice: Gods Among Us arc. It is unclear whether the film will either focus on the events covered in the games, or the tie-in comic books, but for those unfamiliar with the Injustice premise, the story is set in an alternate timeline in which Superman turns into Earth’s tyrannical ruler after being tricked into killing Lois Lane and his unborn child by the Joker.
In more child-friendly fare, DC has also announced a new My Adventures With Superman series, featuring The Boys’ Jack Quaid as the voice of Clark Kent. This latest cartoon series will return to the character’s roots, featuring a coming-of-age story where Kent is once more a new reporter with the Daily Planet working alongside Lois Lane, voiced by Alice Lee (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist).
The CW has released a first look at Bart Allen’s comic accurate suit on The Flash. Bart a.k.a. Impulse, the future son of Barry Allen and Iris West, is set to be played by Jordan Fisher.

Whilst Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is currently working on his debut as DC’s Black Adam, he has also signed on for another role in the DC Universe. Most recently he has been tapped to provide the voice of Superman’s dog Krypto, in the upcoming animated DC League of Super-Pets.
From the small to the big-screen Flash, director of the upcoming DCEU outing of the scarlet speedster, Andy Muschietti, has recently teased fans with a glimpse of Ezra Miller’s chair from the set.
Titans season 3 now has an official release date after the cast took to Twitter to let everyone know they’ll be back on screens from August.
