Art Competition
We love art! Especially those of cool funky fresh characters and of course fanart! If you think you've got what it takes for being an artist than the Supanova art competition is for you! There are a number of categories which include:
Comic/Original Style: Art style that is more western and comic book like.
Manga/Anime Style: Art style from the east! If your art has more of an anime influence then this category is for you!
A winner will be chosen for each category and will be announced Sunday afternoon during judging time of the Madman Cosplay Contest, located at the Madman Anime Theatre. Please also remember to read the rules below for more details. If you have any questions or queries regarding the art contest please email the Anime Director. Lastly please remember to collect your artwork before 5.30pm on Sunday afternoon, if you do not collect your artwork, it will become the property of Supanova Expo. We cannot mail back any pieces of artwork.
RULES:
1. Art can be of original characters or fanart. However your work MUST be original. If we find that your work is a direct trace or copy of another artists work, your entry may be disqualified from the competition.
2. All digital work submitted must be accompanied by the original pencil sketch. These *must* be sighted by the art competition coordinator before the digital artwork will be considered eligible for submission. There will be no exceptions.
3. You must only submit artwork on the day of the event. We will not be accepting mail in entries.
4. Strictly one entry per artist, per category. (For example, an artist can submit one piece of artwork for the anime art contest, and also another for the comic art contest)
5. The artwork should be no more than A3 in size due to the limited availabilty of wall space, we will still accept art if it is bigger than this size, but it may not be displayed to give everyone else an equal go.
6. The artwork must be suitable for a family audience (ie: depictions of excessive violence, nudity, or adult themes are not welcome)
7. All artwork must be collected by the artist or a proxy by 5:30pm on Sunday. All artwork left uncollected will become the property of Supanova Expo.
8. Artwork submitted to the Art Competition is displayed for show purposes only. Under no circumstances will Supanova Expo sell artwork on behalf of artists.
9. The judge's decision is final.
10. Prizes are not exchangeable and are final.
