Stewart McKenny
Stewart is one of Australia's most prolifically published comic book artists and has worked for major publishers both within Australia and overseas, including Dark Horse, Marvel and, currently, for DC.
At present, Stewart is part of the 'art squad' working on DC's new 'DC SUPER FRIENDS' title - part of the company's revamped Johnny DC line for kids.
Stewart is excited about the opportunity to demonstrate once again his uncanny ability to adapt to new styles and techniques.
This foray into the world of children's comics is something he is particularly keen to continue - as the children are the future of the industry, and as a diehard 'fanboy' himself, the opportunity to be part of creating a whole new generation of comic fans is too good to miss! Stewart will have his latest issue of SUPER FRIENDS at Supanova, as well as preview art for upcoming issues.
As always, Stewart is happy to check out the work of budding artists - particularly the kids.
His recent overseas credits also include his fourth contribution to the extremely popular kids' series STAR WARS: CLONE WARS ADVENTURES (based on the hit animated television series). He has also worked for Marvel Comics on CAPTAIN AMERICA (with Eddie Campbell) as well as STAR WARS TALES for Dark Horse.
Stewart spends his 'free' time working on comics for the pure enjoyment of it, and has also been part of several ‘indy' publications published both within Australia and overseas.
